Introduction of APEL.A

Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Access (APEL.A) is a structured process that involves identifying, documenting, and evaluating prior experiential learning for admission into various levels of study within the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF).

APEL.A offers opportunities for individuals with work experience but lacking academic qualifications, or those without any academic credentials, to pursue studies at Higher Education Institutions.

Currently, APEL.A assessments are available for SIX entry levels:

  1. Entry into Certificate programs (APEL T-3);
  2. Entry into Diploma programs (APEL T-4);
  3. Entry into Advanced Diploma programs (APEL T-5);
  4. Entry into Bachelor’s Degree, Graduate Diploma, and Graduate Certificate programs (APEL T-6);
  5. Entry into Master’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, and Postgraduate Certificate programs (APEL T-7); and
  6. Entry into Doctoral programs (APEL T-8).
